Our 2025 focus includes: + Enhancing AI and ML architecture for faster, more impactful decision-making. + Integrating AI to build resilient supply chains, transforming work through automation of complex tasks, and advancing sustainability by optimizing resources. + Revolutionizing the retail industry by transforming planning and operations, improving demand forecasting, inventory management, fulfillment, and enhancing customer experience with personalized shopping, returns, and real-time insights.**About the Role/Product Development Team*** We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead a team of product engineers in designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions at Blue Yonder and provide strategic technical leadership for our Generative AI initiatives.* In this role, you'll shape the architectural direction of our AI systems, lead complex engineering challenges, and drive innovation across our technology stack.**What you’ll do:*** Establish the technical vision and architectural foundations for our generative AI platforms and products* Lead the design and implementation of complex, large-scale AI systems that push technical boundaries* Design and build scalable, high-performance Generative AI solutions.* Work closely with data scientists to fine-tune, deploy, and monitor LLMs.* Optimize inference pipelines to reduce latency and improve efficiency.* Build distributed AI systems that handle high-throughput workloads.* Mentor engineering leaders and senior engineers, elevating the technical capabilities of the organization* Identify and solve systemic engineering challenges across model training, deployment, and monitoring* Establish technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for AI engineering* Drive technical alignment with product management & UX on roadmap and deliverables**Our Current Technical Environment*** **Software/Tools:** Python, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, GitHub Actions, Codacy, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc.* **Application Architecture:** Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture* **Cloud Architecture:** MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)* **Frameworks/Others:** Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake**What we are looking for:*** Minimum 12+ years of software development experience, with a strong foundation in software engineering skills, design patterns, and building scalable systems.* Minimum 3+ years of engineering leadership in architecture and design.* Deep expertise in distributed systems, high-performance computing, and software architecture.* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives with significant business impact.* Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.* Strong understanding of ML infrastructure, model serving architectures, and AI system optimization.* Proven track record of shipping products powered by LLMs, RAG systems, and/or AI agents in production.* Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.-------------------------------------------The salary range for this position is $152,889 - $190,000.The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.
