The Nurse Manager Perioperative Services will join a not for profit regional medical center that values shared governance and evidence based practice. Modern surgical suites and advanced imaging support safe perioperative care for a Surgical Services Nurse Manager who seeks strong clinical resources.

The Nurse Manager Perioperative Services reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and partners with the Chief Nursing Officer on key initiatives. Direct reports include charge nurses and staff RNs and surgical technologists and unit coordinators for an OR Nurse Manager who leads by example. This role collaborates closely with anesthesia leaders and surgeons and sterile processing and PACU and materials management to drive quality and throughput.

The Nurse Manager Perioperative Services supports a main OR with 14 rooms that include 2 endovascular rooms and 2 open heart rooms and 1 cysto room and 1 da Vinci robot room and 1 pediatric room. Services include general surgery for adults and pediatrics and ENT for adults and pediatrics and urology for adults and pediatrics and vascular and thoracic and heart and podiatry and ophthalmology and oral surgery. The Operating Room is staffed 24 7 and Pre Op Holding runs Monday through Friday from 0530 to 1930 and has on call Saturday and Sunday from 0645 to 1500 and PACU is staffed 24 7 with call which suits an Operating Room Nurse Manager who thrives in a complex setting.

The Nurse Manager Perioperative Services advances clinical excellence through education and mentoring and competency validation and quality improvement that reduces infections and keeps patients safe. Administrative leadership spans budgeting and staffing and operations and surgeon relations and daily scheduling for a Perioperative Services Manager who can balance people and performance. This leader designs and monitors acuity based staffing plans and reviews productivity and manages performance with fair coaching and recognition. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and five years of relevant nursing or healthcare experience with leadership evidence and two years of OR nursing leadership in a high volume setting and an active Arizona RN license and current BLS.
