Pharma Services Research Associate

In the Pharma Services Assay Development team, we develop and validate robust prototype assays for implementation in a clinical laboratory. We are a dynamic and fast-paced group that works closely with our pharma partners to provide patients with personalized healthcare solutions.

As Pharma Services Research Associate you will be responsible for executing laboratory experiments and project activities under supervision. Prepares experiment data for internal and external communications.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts laboratory experiments following established procedures under supervision.
• Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines and procedures, and as specified by appropriate external regulatory agencies (SHE, OSHA).
• Assumes responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of experimental results.
• Assumes accountability for own lab notebook documentation, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately and consistently, and according to established formats.
• Summarizes experimental results in table or figure format, analyzes data using basic analysis tools, and draws conclusions following detailed instructions.May participate in troubleshooting, and present findings at internal meeting

• May coordinate projects or some project activities. May prepare project or study plans and reports following detailed instructions.
• May prepare and present results and project updates at internal and external meeting under supervision.
• Participates in routine lab maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Your Main Qualifications

• Formal Training/Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
• Minimal 6-month relevant experience
• Are equivalencies acceptable? Yes - Master's degree with no experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to plan and execute relevant laboratory experimentation following detailed instructions
• Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in experimental procedure
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, such as word processing, spreadsheet, power point presentation., etc.
• Ability to perform basic analysis of experiment data and draw conclusion following detailed instructions
• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications
• Ability to pay attention to detail; ability to multi task and be flexible with tasks and schedules
• Basic knowledge about tissue morphology and tissue based diagnostic technologies
