CVICU RN Job Details – Lake Havasu City, AZ

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Community hospital, Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – 16 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Position Type: Locum tenens (travel/contract nursing job)
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250-$2310

CVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or blended ICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse or locum tenens experience preferred
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed
• Experience with Baxter pumps and adult/geriatric patient care

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
• Manage patients with critical diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document all patient care accurately and efficiently using Medhost EHR
• Participate in call rotation and float to other critical care units as required
• Comply with hospital policies, including attendance and dress code (scrub color per facility guidelines)
