Registered Nurse (RN) - Womens Health

- Candidates must possess experience in direct patient care, as well as in patient and staff education, administration, and/or re
search. - Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, standards, and procedures that facilitate the provision of comprehensive primary care to a select population of predominantly healthy women and/or their infants across diverse settings. This includes obstetrical antepartum and intrapartum management, postpartum care, gynecological care, and immediate newbor
n care. - A thorough understanding of growth, development, and the pathophysiology of disease processes specific to the obstetrical and gynecological populations is required. This knowledge should encompass individuals across the entire age spectrum, from neonates to ger
iatrics. - Candidates must exhibit familiarity with a wide range of medical disorders, including but not limited to sickle cell anemia, diabetes, sexually transmitted infections, thyroid disorders, hypertension, and cardiac disease, as well as their potential implications for perinatal outcomes. Moreover, candidates should possess a broad understanding of normal delivery variations, the associated complications, and the necessary therapeutic interve
ntions. - Applicants should be knowledgeable about pharmacological agents utilized in patient treatment, including their desired effects, side effects, and potential complications or contraindications. Demonstrated proficiency in administering pharmacological agents and accurately computing dosage calculations is essential. Furthermore, candidates should be acquainted with the administrative requirements for the appropriate documentation of patients' conditions, including disease progression, acknowledgment of teaching, and follow-up care. - Proficiency in computer operations is required, including basic word processing, data entry, and the use of automated medical records.
**Work Schedule:** The work schedule is Monday through Friday, consisting of nine hours within the time frame of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. The specific schedule may vary depending on departmental needs. There is no requirement for on-call duties, weekend shifts, or holiday00 work.
**Minimum Qualifications:** -
**Education:** An Associate Degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. -
**Experience:** A minimum of one year in a clinic setting, preferably in Women's Health, is required. - **Licensure:** An active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any state is mandatory. - **Certifications:** Candidates must possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). -
**Security Clearance:** Candidates must have the ability to successfully pass a government background check/security clearance.
