Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable

Requirements

Accounts Payable

• Manage high volume daily accounts payable transactions, review of invoices for accuracy
• Prepare daily reconciliations of key Accounts Payable vendors. Responsible for analyzing and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all schedules and resolution of discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the sales department and customers/vendors to create effective working relationships
• Forecasting of cash requirements
• Process payments per vendor terms via ACH
• Process, file, and pay monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Daily credit card reconciliations for expenses using Expensify platform
• Process expense reports using an automated expense reporting tool including monthly analyses using Divvy platform
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close

• Assist accounts receivable when needed with:
• Uploading invoices into customers' AP portals
• Post daily deposits/cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts
• Process credit card transactions
• Various tasks as delegated by the Controller, such as data collection and analysis, process improvements, and implementation of internal controls

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Multi-entity experience
• Avalara / Sales tax
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Sage Intacct experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic
• Detail-oriented with continuous follow-up for internal expenses
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized
• Ability to complete tasks with accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above in accounting with 5 years of relevant experience.

Physical Demands

• Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
• Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
• Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
• Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
• Hearing Requirements (In-person speech, telephone, other sounds)
