Training Coordinator

This position will be primarily based out of our Mesa I facility located at 4712 S Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites.

Shift Schedule (Current as of posting, but is subject to change pending business needs)

Monday-Friday; Based around a 40-hour work week, flexes as needed to support onboarding, training, and other Learning & Development items.

Position Description

We are seeking a detail oriented Training Coordinator to support the development and growth of employees in our coil manufacturing environment. In this role, you will develop, organize, track, and deliver training that ensures our workforce is safe, skilled, and fully prepared to meet production and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and manage training activities across the organization, including new hire onboarding, brazing instruction, equipment operation, ISO 9001 compliance, and ongoing skill development.
  • Partner with safety, quality, and department leaders to maintain accurate, complete, and audit ready- training documentation.
  • Ensure production employees receive timely, effective training aligned with performance expectations and operational needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and schedule both hands on and classroom training for brazing, leak testing, final inspection, and other coil manufacturing processes.
  • Lead new hire onboarding by facilitating job specific training, and skills evaluations to ensure employees are prepared for production work.
  • Maintain accurate and audit ready training records, including skill matrices and certification trackers, in compliance with ISO 9001, AWS C3.4 (brazing), and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with department leaders, operators, quality teams, to ensure training content reflects current procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-training programs, and documentation for on-the-job training.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring training documentation is organized, traceable, and aligned with QMS (Quality Management System) requirements.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and distributing standard work instructions, visual aids, and technical training materials.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and report on key performance metrics such as completion rates, qualification status, and compliance gaps.
  • Manage logistics for training activities, including scheduling rooms, preparing materials, and ensuring required PPE and equipment are available.
  • Contribute to new training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Position Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent 2+ years' experience in training, instruction, teaching, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with basic familiarity using digital tools such as Excel-based trackers, and SharePoint.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent recordkeeping, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with both shop-floor employees and leadership personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor Kinetic or another ERP system.
  • Experience developing or updating standard work instructions, visual aids, or training content.
  • Experience coordinating or maintaining skills matrices, certification records, or on-the-job training documentation.
  • Experience conducting or facilitating group training sessions with class varying class sizes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners at all skill levels.
  • Ability to multitask and manage training logistics in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and promoting a positive learning culture.
  • Stable and reliable attendance

o A pattern of Late Ins, Early Outs, Unexcused Call Outs, etc. is not acceptable.

  • Must pass medical pre-screen with physical and background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in United States.

  • Experience working in a mid-sized company where gap-filling is routine.
  • Strong positive work ethic

o Have a good history of safe work practices, focus on quality, and steady efficiency.

o Personal errors in your specific department can happen, what is important is if you were able to learn from an error and move forward in a positive manner.

  • Multilingual

English and Spanish are the Arizona team’s top two primary languages. Fluency, consisting of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in both is recommended. Ancillary would be full comprehension in English with base understanding in Spanish while continuing to learn and develop the communication skill set overtime.
