Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Word Processor to join our team on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves handling legal documentation with precision and efficiency while ensuring all materials meet the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal word processing and bring exceptional attention to detail to a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Edit and format legal documents using Microsoft Word and Adobe software to ensure accuracy and proper presentation. - Track and manage document revisions, including redlining, to reflect necessary changes effectively. - Draft and prepare legal materials with a focus on real estate transactions. - Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to meet deadlines and maintain workflow consistency. - Ensure all legal documentation complies with firm standards and guidelines. - Provide coverage during a leave of absence to maintain operational continuity. - Communicate effectively with team members to clarify document requirements and resolve issues. - Manage document storage and organization for easy access and retrieval. - Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information responsibly. Requirements - Proven experience in legal word processing or a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe software for document editing and formatting. - Familiarity with redlining and tracking changes in legal documents. - Strong knowledge of real estate transactional documentation is preferred. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision under tight deadlines. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
