Senior Mechanical Estimator

We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Phoenix, AZ to lead detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for large-scale commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates using takeoff software (FastPipe, FastDuct, Trimble, AutoBid, etc.)

• Review plans, specs, and site conditions for scope and risk

• Estimate HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems for large commercial projects ($5M–$50M range)

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field leaders during preconstruction

• Maintain estimating logs and budgets

• Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and handoffs

Requirements
Must-Haves

• Based in the Phoenix area with stable work history

• 5+ years in mechanical estimating for commercial projects

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field experience

• Skilled with on-screen takeoff tools (FastPipe, Trimble, QuickPen, etc.)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience on large projects ($5M–$50M)

• Familiar with estimating platforms like Viewpoint, Maxwell, or Estimation

• Background in field installation (ductwork, piping, plumbing)

• Project types: hospitals, schools, airports, data centers, labs, fabs, arenas
