Job Title: Sr. Material Planner
Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Material Planner to join the Supply Chain function at the Casa Grande manufacturing facility. This role is integral to achieving production inventory and cost objectives by deploying supply requirements effectively.
Responsibilities
+ Create and deploy supply requirements to a supply base consisting of over 200 Tier 1 suppliers and more than 3000 parts components via MRP.
+ Build and maintain operational partnerships with assigned suppliers, acting as the primary interface regarding delivery status challenges and resolution.
+ Ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance by working closely with the supplier base.
+ Collaborate with a wide cross-functional team including Purchasing, NPI, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Logistics.
+ Proactively communicate material-related issues to all organizational levels, including shipments between suppliers/plants, while mitigating impacts on internal and external customers.
+ Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports, and other analyses to plan production and business targets.
+ Provide data-driven decision support to the broader organization through what-if and scenario planning.
+ Apply analytics and supply chain expertise to manage system parameters, meeting target inventory and service level goals while minimizing cost and obsolescence.
+ Work closely with Purchasing Global Supply team to improve supplier performance and scorecards.
+ Support new product rollout by establishing the supply chain effectivity date.
+ Participate and lead improvement projects that deliver benefits such as increased OTIF and reduced lead times.
+ Review inventory levels and modify orders for stock replenishment, applying best practices for inventory reduction and optimization.
+ Track metrics on assigned activities to drive results and continuous improvements.
+ Lead meetings related to part shortages, supplier constraints, internal and external planning, and supplier metrics.
+ Handle other projects or assignments as needed.
+ Direct and support the allocation of resources to cover material handling responsibilities.
+ Hold employees accountable for following processes, metrics, assigned projects, or assignments.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with SAP, MRP Planning, Clear to Build, and Excel.
+ Intermediate experience with MS Excel and proficiency in the MS Suite, Tableau.
+ Clear to Build experience is a must.
+ Bachelors or Masters in Supply Chain.
+ Minimum 2 years of Material Planning experience in an automotive or volume manufacturing environment.
+ One or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong knowledge of MRP processes, SAP experience, discrete manufacturing bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes, and supply chain operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ CPIM or APIC training is a plus.
+ Strong leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
+ Ability to analyze, evaluate, and react to issues affecting the manufacturing schedule.
+ Demonstrate skills in supplier operational and relationship management.
+ Passionate with diplomacy and cooperative style to influence positively.
+ Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively.
+ Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
+ Flexibility and adaptability are key.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
+ Passion for results, strategy, and hands-on execution.
+ Ability to develop data-driven meetings and create PowerPoint presentations.
Work Environment
Onsite at Casa Grande, AZ. Operating hours are MST, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed. The role offers exposure to all aspects of supply chain in a cutting-edge technology organization with a dynamic, supportive team culture that fosters mentorship and growth.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
