Why a Yard Associate?: As a Yard Associate your responsibilities are safely operating a forklift to load and move materials, as well as keeping the warehouse and landscape supply yard well organized. In this position you’re required to interact with customers as you load products into their vehicles and answer any questions they may have. To be a successful Yard Associate, you must be organized, plan ahead, and prioritize your daily work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate forklifts and equipment to load, move, and organize materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard
• Properly label, package, and inspect materials for quality
• Clean andmaintaintools, equipment, and work areas
• Plan and organize daily tasks efficiently
• Complete daily paperwork and reports
• Provide strong customer service and support
• Follow all company policies
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
• Arrive on time and ready to work

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift certification
• English (Spanish is a plus)
• Valid Hoisting License (Rhode Island only)
• Basic Math and inventory skills
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Point of Sale experience and basic computer knowledge (preferred)

Work Environment:

• Work is performed onsite at a company store primarily in the yard
• Hands-on, active work environment that allows you to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Frequent work in and around forklifts and other material- handling equipment
• Requires working in a physically active, industrial environment
