In addition to standard janitorial programs, EDGE offers complimentary services including floor care, carpet cleaning, glass cleaning, pressure washing, jr. engineering along with other building maintenance services. Who We Are Looking For: 

As a Day Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of high-traffic commercial properties. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure all common areas, restrooms, and exteriors are pristine, providing a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires attention to detail, commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to address maintenance needs. 

How You Can Help Us  Grow:

Tasks vary based on assignment and include, but are not limited to: 

Common Areas 

• Maintain cleanliness in building entrances, lobbies, common hallways, elevator cabs, etc. 

• Spot clean glass surfaces, removing fingerprints and smudges to ensure a polished appearance. 

• Remove trash and debris, ensuring areas are free of clutter and hazards. 

• Spot vacuum or mop as needed to address spills and debris. 

• Check and clean interior cab paneling, removing fingerprints and smudges. 

Exterior (If Applicable) 

• Empty outdoor trash receptacles and monitor landscaping for debris and cigarette butts. 

• Ensure building exteriors are well-maintained to enhance the overall property appearance. 

Restrooms 

• Spot clean surfaces, including toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, and dispensers. 

• Check and restock all paper products and other supplies as necessary. 

• Spot mop flooring to address spills, ensuring the safe use of “Wet Floor” signage. 

• Empty restroom trash receptacles and ensure cleanliness is consistently maintained. 

*Task rotation and frequency may vary based on property needs and assignments. 

Additional Responsibilities 

Maintenance Reporting 

• Inform Supervisor of any plumbing, mechanical, or electrical malfunctions encountered during shifts. 

• Report any visible property damage noticed prior to or during your shift to maintain safety and security. 

• Support additional tasks as requested by Property Managers or Building Engineers.   

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Preferred Experience: Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience is beneficial but not required. 

• Commitment to Excellence: Dedicated to providing top-notch janitorial services consistently and professionally. 

• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain focus on established tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• Positive Attitude: A proactive, team-oriented approach to all work assignments.   

Minimum Requirements: 

• Ability to lift 10 lbs or more to perform cleaning duties and transport supplies as needed. 

• Valid driver’s license for property access and potential supply transport. 

• Must be able to speak English
