Experienced Veterinary Technician - Surgery Experience Required

Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general practice veterinary medicine, including surgery experience in non-elective surgery such as pyometra, perineal urethrostomy & cystotomies; not to mention a passion for patient care, client education, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during surgeries and procedures

• Perform dental cleanings and radiographs

• Administer vaccines and medications

• Monitor anesthesia and surgical recovery

• Collect and process lab samples

• Take radiographs

• Educate clients on preventative care and treatment plans

• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinic cleanliness standards

• Support urgent and emergency care cases as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a general practice setting with regular surgery experience

• Strong knowledge of small animal medicine (cats and dogs)

• Surgical and dental experience required

• Emergency/Urgent Care experience a plus

• Excellent customer service and patient care

• CVT/LVT is a bonus, but not required
