Position Overview

Verra Mobility is seeking a Lead Fullstack Developer who thrives in both front-end and back-end development, with mastery in Java, Node.js, AWS, and Postgres. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys coding at the highest standard, mentoring others, and delivering complex features end-to-end.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts for complex features and projects, ensuring technical excellence.


• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java and Node.js.


• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.


• Build responsive, high-performance UI components.


• Work with AWS services to design and deploy cloud-native applications.


• Collaborate closely with DevOps for CI/CD and infrastructure automation.


• Mentor developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical sessions.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 in a lead role.


• Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js .


• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design ( Postgres preferred).


• Proven AWS experience with production workloads.


• Solid understanding of modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).


• Strong grasp of testing best practices (unit, integration, E2E).


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.




• Must be located in Phoenix, AZ and be willing to commute into our Mesa, AZ office two days a week.
