About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the operating room is required. License: Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS. Must-Have: Proficiency in main operating room surgeries. Experience with EPIC charting required. Description: Upcoming orientation dates are 5/11 and 6/11. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the operating room. EPIC charting is required. The service lines include Urology, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Plastics, ENT, Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, and some GYN. Candidates should not have more than 7 days of requested time off. The position requires being on call for 1-2 shifts per week, including nights and weekends. There are 2 weekend calls every 6-week schedule. Candidates must be proficient in main operating room surgeries. Blocked scheduling requests will not be accepted. Locals will not be considered for this position. The unit operates 24/7 with scheduled shifts and call shifts. Call shifts are usually 4 hours in length, except overnight call shifts which are 8 hours. Scheduled shifts and call shifts may include nights and weekends. The average number of hours for call in a 6-week schedule is about 50-54 hours. Travelers with one DUI incident that occurred one year or more ago may be considered. Candidates with multiple DUIs or recent DUI incidents will not be considered. Work history needs to be submitted for rehire status approval if applicable. This position requires candidates to float to sister locations as needed. The patient demographic includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
