Pay starting from $16 -$20/hr based on experience .

Duties

• Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and lifestyle needs, providing expert recommendations on color, cuts, and styling options.
• Perform professional hair coloring using various techniques such as balayage, highlights, ombre, and corrective color treatments while ensuring optimal results.
• Execute a wide range of styling services including blowouts, updos, braiding, and special occasion styles to enhance client satisfaction.
• Apply advanced hair care treatments like deep conditioning, keratin smoothing, and extensions to improve hair health and appearance.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
• Upsell retail products like shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair extensions to enhance client results and increase revenue.
• Provide excellent customer service through active communication, personalized advice, and fostering a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair coloring, styling, sanitation practices, and client communication to promote a collaborative atmosphere.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of sanitation standards.
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio showcasing hair coloring, styling, and extension techniques.
• Proficiency in salon software systems such as Zenoti for appointment management and retail transactions.
• Skilled in various hair coloring methods including color theory application for customized results.
• Familiarity with advanced services like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients about their needs and educate them on products or services.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling opportunities.
• Knowledge of store management principles to support front desk operations when needed.
• Passion for continuous learning about current trends in hair care, coloring techniques, and new industry innovations.
