Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and devising personalized treatment strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or completely autonomously depending on credentials
• Providing education to patients and families regarding preventive health, wellness strategies, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your professional scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management for patients
• Working across multidisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless, integrated patient care
• Documenting all clinical information accurately and thoroughly within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
