Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting secondary students in an interactive, onsite environment. This full-time role runs from August 3 through May 21, offering the chance to make a tangible impact in the lives of students with varying challenges relating to emotional disabilities, prosocial behavior, and self-regulation.

You will lead a caseload of students requiring individualized attention, collaborating with school teams to identify needs, provide academic and behavioral interventions, and ensure compliance with all educational guidelines. Success in this position means advocating for students who may be at-risk, from diverse backgrounds, or limited in English proficiency, as well as those with exceptional learning needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License (required)
• Current K-12 Special Education Certificate (mandatory)
• IVP Fingerprint Card (current and valid)
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities or other eligibility areas
• Strong knowledge of prosocial and self-regulatory interventions
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local requirements for special education documentation and implementation
• Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training—or a willingness to pursue district staff development programs
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Design and implement individualized education programs following legal and district standards
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and progress-oriented classroom
• Deliver evidence-based instruction accommodating a range of learning and behavioral needs
• Track progress, modify interventions, and report on student outcomes
