Central Plant HVACR Service & Install Specialist

About the Role

Picture your day starting at a central plant: you review overnight data on a chilled water loop, then head to a commercial site to fine-tune a cooling tower and verify chiller setpoints. After lunch, you swap to an installation: laying out grooved iron piping for a WSHP system and coordinating an RTU replacement. You wrap up by submitting a mobile service report—no paper tickets—and planning tomorrow’s preventive maintenance on built-up systems.

That’s a typical day for a Skyline Mechanical technician. We’re adding an experienced professional who thrives in both installation and service, especially in central plants and chilled water environments, across residential and commercial properties.

Current Openings

• Service Tech (5+ years): Central plant service, chillers, chilled water pumps, cooling towers, built-up systems, and a variety of commercial building systems.
• Install Tech (3+ years): Grooved iron pipe, WSHP installs, RTU replacements, piping layout, cooling tower replacements, and other commercial installations.

What You’ll Handle

• Install, commission, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including furnaces, RTUs, WSHPs, and central plant equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Diagnose mechanical, refrigeration, and control issues; execute repairs with precision.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to resolve HVAC concerns quickly and safely.
• Follow all safety regulations and industry standards on every job.
• Apply mechanical skills in piping, brazing/welding, and refrigeration practices.
• Document work and materials via digital/mobile service reports.

What You Bring

• Proven HVAC experience as an Installer or Service Technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Hands-on capability with installation-related property maintenance tasks.
• Experience with plumbing, welding/brazing, and refrigeration practices is a plus.
• Clear communication skills with customers and teammates.
