Travel Overnight Pharmacist / Staff Pharmacist

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off | 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Wednesday–Tuesday)
On Call: None
Experience Required: 2+ years

A hospital in Tucson, Arizona is seeking an experienced Overnight Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient operations. The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of medications for patients of all ages while maintaining compliance with state, federal, DEA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately and safely

• Collaborate with physicians on medication selection and dosing

• Provide education to nursing staff, physicians, and patients

• Support medication safety initiatives and adverse reaction reporting

• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and sterile compounds

• Maintain narcotic accountability and accurate documentation

• Review patient profiles and ensure appropriate therapy

Facility Details

• Unit Size: 44 beds plus Emergency Department

• EMR: Cerner

• Environment: Inpatient acute care hospital

Requirements

• Active Arizona Pharmacist License

• BLS and ACLS

• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacist experience

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Sterile compounding experience required

• Board Certification or Pharmacy Residency preferred (not required)
