Job Summary:
SOAZ is seeking an Accounting Specialist 1 for the Division of Developmental Disabilities. This entry-level role focuses on accounts payable , processing ongoing, one-time, and urgent payments while operating independently with minimal supervision. The specialist will update Google Sheet logs , enter receivers in the Arizona Procurement Portal (APP) , and ensure timely processing of payments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching and reconciling invoices for goods and services received



• Contacting staff and vendors for documentation verification



• Reconciling aging account payments and credits



• Tracking available funds for purchase orders to ensure adequate funding



• Following accounting principles and practices in a government setting



• Communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing



• Attending meetings and monitoring/replying to urgent shared mailbox emails as assigned

• Basic computer skills



• Experience with Google Sheets
  

• Background in purchasing or accounting
  

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
