Staff Cloud Engineer (Hybrid 1 Day)

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer with a strong engineering background to design and implement advanced cloud infrastructure solutions for video workflows. This role focuses on driving the adoption of modern cloud strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and promoting programming standards across the organization. Summary of Role: - Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure with emphasis on automation, security, and cost optimization. - Apply deep expertise in AWS and GCP to advocate best practices in cloud engineering, infrastructure as code, hybrid networking, CI/CD, automated monitoring, and compliance. - Act as a technical thought leader, collaborating with internal teams and customers to deliver modern cloud applications and video flows-including hybrid environments for major global events. - Continuously research emerging technologies and provide guidance on adoption or avoidance based on security, resiliency, efficiency, cost, and interoperability. - Partner with leadership to develop architectures, visualize workflows, and refine processes and policies. - Foster a collaborative culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to [email protected] learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements - Deep expertise in AWS and GCP, including security, networking, IAM, authentication protocols, account management, and application services. - Proven ability to solve capacity challenges using dynamic scaling, containerization, and/or serverless architectures; ensure high availability and redundancy; experience with hybrid connectivity (e.g., Direct Connect, AWS Outposts). - Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture models (centralized vs. distributed) for building scalable, reliable, and secure IT systems. - Mastery of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles. - Expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. - Ability to analyze systems with high attention to detail and impact awareness. - Hands-on experience with at least two programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Terragrunt. - Familiarity with DevOps principles and deployment automation. - BS or equivalent - AWS Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps, SysAdmin, Networking, and/or Security certifications - Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure Cloud knowledge - Experience in the Media & Entertainment field - Other certifications (CCIP, CCIE, Terraform, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
