Position: Material Handler

Position Overview:

The Material Handler will be responsible for the proper handling, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. This individual will work closely with our production and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders

- Inspect and document any damaged or missing items

- Label and store materials in designated locations

- Retrieve materials from inventory and deliver to production areas as needed

- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks

- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely material flow

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

- Forklift certification preferred

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems

- Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed
