A Day in the Life

The primary purpose of this role is to be the conduit between technical teams driving key business projects and the business processes (financials and project tracking). These responsibilities would apply to tracking projects through execution as well as vetting and submitting new projects. This candidate would need strong organization skills and knowledge of Planisware is ideal.

In this dynamic role you will be the conduit between technical teams driving key business projects and the business processes (financials and project tracking). Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate develop and manage projects for key business processes.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning project team and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives .

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers line managers and clients.

Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant project management experience OR a dvanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience

Nice to Have :

  • 5 years of experience in project management within the medical device industry

  • Efficient with Excel

  • Planisware Experience

  • Strong Organization Skills

  • PMP Certification

  • Lean Certification

  • JMP Power Bi & Minitab

  • Hyper vigilant on driving project targets and holding team accountable to timelines

  • Solid communication skills to present and modify the messaging based on the audience and different levels of leadership.

  • Ability to change course with minimal notice

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to commercialization

  • Strong understanding of medical device regulations (e.g. FDA ISO)

  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • T echnical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts

  • Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Smartsheet) and standard office applications (e.g. MS Office Suite).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$113600.00 - $170400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insurance Health Savings Account Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Life insurance Long-term disability leave Dependent daycare spending account Tuition assistance/reimbursement and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
