Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Foreman to lead the construction of shaded structures for commercial buildings. This role involves setting columns, pouring concrete footings, placing steel, and installing custom elements with precision.

Responsibilities

• Construct shaded structures for commercial buildings.
• Excavate materials and prepare sites for construction.
• Set columns and pour concrete for footings measuring 36" round and 10 feet deep.
• Install steel and custom elements, completing tasks within 2-3 weeks.
• Lead and manage a team of laborers, ensuring effective communication and task delegation.
• Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.
• Perform some electrical work when shades include lighting.
• Install ladders and ensure all installations are level and secure.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry and concrete/steel construction.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing construction teams.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of outdoor construction experience for laborers.
• Ability to manage laborers and track invoices/receipts for expensing.
• Basic computer skills including email communication and expense reporting.
• Experience with structural steel and installation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
