Front Office Receptionist For Hospice
JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist/Medical Records reports to the Executive Director and possesses knowledge, training and experience in medical records and computer knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:
· Knowledge of Medicare Hospice requirements.
· Some knowledge of medical terminology
· Ability to provide knowledge and assistance to other staff
· Knowledge of Hospice policies and procedures.
· Ability to exercise independent judgment.
· Ability to work with individuals.
Have some computer skills
· Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.
MUST BE RELIABLE
JOB DUTIES:
· Scan & Upload all Medical Records to EMR system
· Inputs new patient information into EMR
· Prepares admission packets
· Assist in filling out of legal paperwork for admissions
· Sends orders to DME company for patient equipment when needed
· Displays a willingness to support policies and procedures and uses appropriate channels for changes of such policies.
· Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient and staff related information.
· Accepts responsibility for regular attendance and punctuality.
· Serves as a resource person to all employees.
· Responsible for answering telephone and forwarding call to appropriate personnel.
· File documentation/paperwork in appropriate EMR chart.
· Assist with scheduling and adding communication notes/orders into EMR system
· Updates Census every time there is a new change (admission or discharge)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
