We are seeking a highly motivated Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting critical design and compliance efforts for advanced development programs. In this role, you will be at the intersection of engineering design and material science, ensuring our products meet stringent system-level requirements and are built with the highest levels of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong foundational knowledge in STEM and a passion for applying technical skills to real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Review: Review and validate engineering designs for compliance with Material and Process System Level requirements.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Generation: Generate and manage accurate bills of materials using inputs from engineering designs and the material requirements planning (MRP) system.
• Engineering Analysis & Design: Perform complex engineering design, development, and analysis using advanced structural and product design software. Apply solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Test Development: Develop and execute test programs to evaluate system elements, including materials and structural components.
• Technical Execution: Based on specific program objectives, perform analysis, design, or test activities on complex materials, components, or functional systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline, or a PhD in a STEM discipline.
• Programming: Working knowledge in one of the following languages: MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
• Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in an engineering context.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• CAD/Modeling: Experience with NX or other CAD software.
• Standards: GD&T training and application experience.
• Communication: Ability to clearly present technical content to peers and project groups.
• Software/Tools: Familiarity with Matlab, Python, or Linux.
• Materials Science:
• • Knowledge of basic corrosion principles.
  • Familiarity with material characterization, qualification, and the generation of design allowables.
• Process Familiarity:
• • Experience with material and process-related requirement reviews.
  • Experience with material and process-related drawing reviews.
