Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join one of our clients on an interim basis. In this contract role, you will manage key accounting processes, ensure compliance with internal controls, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and play a vital role in maintaining our organization's financial integrity. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Manage month-end close processes using Sage Intacct, ensuring timely and accurate completion. - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including tasks related to revenue recognition and expense monitoring. - Collaborate with teams across operations, finance, and IT to address process challenges and implement improvements. - Generate detailed financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making. - Provide necessary documentation and support during external audits, acting as a key liaison with auditors. - Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure smooth financial operations. - Identify opportunities for process optimization and leverage automation tools within Sage Intacct. - Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and other special projects as assigned. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. - Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation. - Proficiency in preparing journal entries and handling bank reconciliations. - Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex financial problems. - Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
