Position Overview
UPMC is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Strategic Financial Insights Analyst to join our remote finance team. This is a fully remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only . The ideal candidate will leverage financial data, forecasting models, and business insights to support strategic planning and operational decision-making across the organization.
This role is perfect for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through financial excellence.
$95,000 - $125,000 per annum (based on experience and location).
Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets
Partner with business units to support strategic planning and performance analysis
Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights
Support long-term financial planning and scenario analysis
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, accounting, and strategy
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
2+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or related role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
Experience with financial reporting tools and data analysis platforms
Solid understanding of financial principles, forecasting, and budgeting
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools
MBA, CPA, or CFA certification (or progress toward certification)
Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
