Position Overview

UPMC is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Strategic Financial Insights Analyst to join our remote finance team. This is a fully remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only . The ideal candidate will leverage financial data, forecasting models, and business insights to support strategic planning and operational decision-making across the organization.

$95,000 - $125,000 per annum (based on experience and location).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets

• Partner with business units to support strategic planning and performance analysis

• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership

• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights

• Support long-term financial planning and scenario analysis

• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and internal controls

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, accounting, and strategy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or related role

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

• Experience with financial reporting tools and data analysis platforms

• Solid understanding of financial principles, forecasting, and budgeting

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

• Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools

• MBA, CPA, or CFA certification (or progress toward certification)

• Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
