Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will engage in hands-on service work on large commercial solar installations and small utility-scale projects across the region. You will bring a strong electrical and mechanical experience, a passion for renewable energy, and a commitment to safety and quality. Most projects are based in Tucson with 20-50% travel required out of state.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on solar PV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of solar arrays, inverters, combiner boxes, and monitoring systems.
  • Conduct system performance evaluations and diagnostics using specialized tools and software.
  • Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions in work orders and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, NEC standards, and company procedures.
  • Support commissioning and testing of new installations as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Travel to project sites across Arizona and neighboring states as required.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV system maintenance or related electrical work.
  • Familiarity with commercial and utility-scale solar technologies, including string and central inverters.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and site plans.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools, multimeters, IV curve tracers, and data loggers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
