Direct Support Professional
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional's to join our team! We have openings at each of our six group home locations, providing care to the young men and women living in them.
If you apply, you can choose the job sites that are within range for your needs to be considered for. Our Full-Time Shift Positions all require working alternating Saturday/Sundays except for the double weekend position as that is every weekend.
In addition, your choices will include:
- Full-Time Days (6am - 2pm)
- Full-Time Evenings (2pm - 10pm)
- Full-Time Nights (10pm - 6am)
- Full-Time Double Weekend (6am - 10pm) - working every Saturday & Sunday
To be considered for these positions, candidates MUST be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card if hired. Some positions require applicants to already have the following certificates to start, with limited entry level openings for those that do not have all of the following: First Aid, CPR, Article 9, Prevention & Support.
Required Qualifications for a Direct Support Professional:
- Must be able to pass a level 1 fingerprint clearance background check.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Driving is required for many group home positions.
- Previous experience within the group home setting, day program, or with those individuals that have developmental disabilities is required.
- To be considered fully certified requires; Article 9, Prevention and Support, First Aid/CPR and Neglect and Abuse Certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism or other special needs
- Depending on the client and job site, you may be assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for those in our care
- Promote and respect the rights of those residing in the group home
- Assist with meal preparation, and feeding if necessary
Benefit s:
- Starting pay $17.00/hr - for those that are fully certified and have valid AZ Driver's License with clean MVR for 36mo who are able to drive the Group Home minivans.
- All non-driver's start at $16.50/hr if fully certified at time of hire until such time as the certifications are obtained.
- Bi-Monthly Pay periods, payroll advances are available after hired and working up to a portion of earned income.
- Medical/Vision/Dental - available to Full Time Employees after 2nd full month of employment
- Earned Paid Sick Time, up to 40hrs per year.
- Employee Housing - Eligible upon a passing Appraisal, company owned apartments can be rented for a reduced amount, deducted from your pay bi-monthly, no down payment, no application fees, based on availability.
- Referral bonus program - $350, first $50 after the referred employee works 2 shifts, the remaining $300 paid out in $100 installments following every 30 days they remain employed, for following 3 months.
- Schedules - We do not offer any Mon-Fri only schedules. Schedules are published using SLING, which is an app employees download on their phones. Allows for easy viewing of schedules, and to pick up extra shifts.
