ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2025 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation's clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.

As a Electrical Engineer you will assists in the management of engineering activities and engage in construction of process facilities, surface infrastructure, roads, dams, water treatment plants, power infrastructure, maintenance and administrative buildings, and all other onsite and offsite infrastructure.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Liase with engineering contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure engineering completness and ensure documentation received is in compliance with S32's standard and procedures.
• Assists with timely submission of contractor progress and cost status reports to the Project Controls Team;
• Extract data from sources such as plans, engineering reports, and specifications to help facilitate the work of construction contractors and vendors;
• Ensures conformity with industry codes of practice and standards;
• Accountable for site arc Flash study, model and audits.
• Oversee detailed design of high voltage, medium voltages and low voltage systems.
• Oversee detailed design of control networks and PLC systems.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Minimum 6 years of mining electrical engineering design.
• Experience working with teams and interacting with customers;
• Strong on electrical design and/or design review (LV, MV and HV, Substations, e-Rooms, etc.).
