Plumbing Manager – APES HVAC & Plumbing

We’re looking for a high-performance Plumbing Manager to lead and grow our plumbing department. The right candidate will be results-driven, accountable, and ready to roll up their sleeves to ensure daily operations run smooth, jobs are profitable, and techs are trained and supported. • Revenue Growth

  • Own the department’s goal to double revenue.

  • Seek out new customer opportunities by any means necessary.

  • Offer upgrades, discounts, and financing to close estimates.

• Job Oversight

  • Review all jobs daily for complete scope, proper pricing, and opportunities to sell estimates or add-on work.

  • Personally follow up on open estimates until approved or lost.

  • Ensure all COD jobs include inspection reports and protection plan offers.

• Team Management

  • Lead bi-weekly team meetings with performance recognition and safety/vendor training.

  • Oversee payroll accuracy, looking for inflated hours or commission issues.

  • Manage the tech on-call rotation and keep tech trucks properly stocked with standard items and tools.

  • Be the first point of contact for all tech questions and job site support.

• Scheduling & Dispatch

  • Review next-day job assignments and routing with dispatch.

  • Step in to complete jobs when needed due to call-outs, location challenges, or low margin work.

• Customer & Vendor Communication

  • Provide job updates to homeowners, supers, and property managers.

  • Handle all customer complaints immediately and ethically.

  • Learn and use customer portals (SMS, Mainstreet, AH4R, etc.) to submit bids fast.

  • Negotiate with vendors for best pricing on stock and equipment.

• Admin & Reporting

  • Sign off on all ADEQ reports, confirm accuracy, and maintain records.

  • Update pricing as supply and demand shift to stay competitive.

  • Email daily end-of-day reports to ownership and GM.

  • Respond to all emails daily.

  • Note all jobs you touch in Fusion for team visibility.

• Must be available by phone day and night. If unavailable, assign and communicate a backup.
