Job Title: Special Education Teachers

Location: On-site teacher in Tempe

Job Type: 1099 contract position for year-round Special Education and flexible scheduling

Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team of educators and therapists who believe in addressing the whole child through a therapeutic education model. You will be given the curriculum, supplies, and support to work with students in ABA centers. This role requires a teacher who is strong in teamwork, communication, and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Yearly Learning Plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Collaborate with parents and therapists to integrate and support students.
• Provide direct instruction to students in small groups of 1:3 or individual settings, utilizing various teaching strategies and techniques.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction to ensure academic growth and development.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on support strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or a related field.
• State teaching certification
• Experience working with kindergarten through second-grade students.
• Strong understanding of various disabilities and their educational implications.
• Experience collaborating with support staff, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, ABA providers, and other related service providers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
