As a Senior M&A Manager "here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and driving Honeywell's mergers and acquisitions strategy within the Aerospace and Defense sector. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, conducting financial analysis, performing due diligence, leading deal negotiations, and overseeing post-merger integration. Your strategic vision, leadership skills, and ability to drive successful M&A outcomes will be essential in contributing to the growth and success of Honeywell.
You will report directly to our"Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisitions,"and you'll work out of our"Phoenix, AZ location on a"Hybrid"work schedule. In this role, you will impact strategic growth, financial performance, risk management, advanced valuation, due diligence, legal compliance, integration planning, stakeholder relations, market and competitive analysis, deal execution, post-merger performance monitoring, long-term strategy, and shareholder value. Your role is instrumental in shaping the organization's most complex M&A strategies, ensuring that deals align with its goals and contribute to its long-term success. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end execution of complex M&A transactions, serving as lead for valuation strategy, deal structuring, and the negotiation of definitive transaction documents
- Partner closely with the strategic business units (SBUs) teams to review the market landscape, identify new opportunities, prioritize strategic growth opportunities, maintain the acquisition funnel, and identify priority targets
- Development of valuation models, ensuring accuracy in synergy identification and risk assessment
- Partner with executive leadership on portfolio evaluation, which may include leading divestiture strategies
- Develop and refine the long-term M&A strategy for Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, ensuring all targets align with global portfolio objectives and shareholder value
- Manage the M&A approval process, including preparing and presenting investment cases to the CEO, CFO, and, where applicable, the Board of Directors
- Collaborate in the"roll-out of the new Honeywell Aerospace standalone M&A team; ensure efficient execution as an independent public company
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Financial Analysis Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex M&A transaction
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Ideal candidates will be self-starters, have strong financial analysis and transaction execution skills, including robust valuation expertise, acquisition and due diligence experience, and the ability to collaborate across multiple groups in a rapidly changing business environment
- Ability to engage constructively with SBU leadership to test assumptions and gain full understanding of strategy and business/operational implications of key valuation drivers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment with frequent interaction with CEO and CFO, SVP of Global M&A and SBU Presidents
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
