CNA National seeks a dynamic and creative professional to lead the development and implementation of impactful training programs for internal and external customers. The senior L&D specialist plays a pivotal role in designing and executing innovative learning solutions that accelerate business impact through expert facilitation and content design. The senior L&D specialist will partner with key stakeholders to identify, design, and deliver high-impact learning experiences. The role will be full-time in the Scottsdale office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct thorough needs assessments and define clear learning objectives that address performance gaps and support organizational goals. Design, develop and update learning materials, resources, and training to address identified learning needs and objectives. Evaluate existing training materials and content and repurpose or adapt them for use in new learning initiatives, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and audience needs. Create engaging and interactive learning experiences, including on demand, virtual and in person instructor-led training, video, and other learning modalities. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevance and alignment with best practices and industry standards. Facilitate training sessions, ensuring effective delivery of content and engagement of participants. Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design techniques to enhance learning retention and knowledge transfer. Manage learning management systems and other training platforms to deliver, track and report on training activities and outcomes. Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Stays current on best practices in learning technologies, methodologies, and engagement strategies to ensure cutting-edge learning experiences. Utilizes data and analytics to evaluate training effectiveness and inform program enhancements. Leads change management efforts related to learning initiatives, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and adoption. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent. 5+ years of related work experience in learning and development, with a focus on instructional design and facilitation. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive training needs analyses and aligning learning solutions with business strategies. Strong technical skills with experience developing and implementing eLearning solutions, managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), leveraging analytics to measure effectiveness, and utilizing tools like Microsoft Teams for collaboration. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques. Proficient in learning management systems, e-learning authoring tools and other training technologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
