Make an impact in the lives of students as a Middle School Resource Special Education Teacher, supporting learners in a vibrant school environment near Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent contract opportunity running from ASAP through May 2027, where your expertise and dedication will shape student success and growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Certification is required
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card on file
- Experience working with middle school students within a resource or special education setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in line with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development as needed
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student achievement
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and behavioral interventions designed to build student confidence and independence
