IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Associate I

Are you passionate about technology and sustainability? Join our dynamic team as an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Associate! In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our ITAD business, ensuring the efficient processing, refurbishment, and disposition of IT assets as well as assisting with the e-commerce sales for the organization’s ITAD business.

Requirements

• Receiving, sorting, and testing IT assets for resale or disposal

• Refurbishing and preparing IT assets for resale (cleaning, data wiping, re-imaging)

• Assisting with the organization’s e-commerce platform, including listing assets, monitoring pricing, and responding to customer inquiries
• Shipping and receiving e-commerce orders

• Creating and printing shipping labels for e-commerce shipments

• Maintaining e-commerce inventory to ensure accuracy and stock levels

• Auditing and reconciling e-commerce orders with shipping logs and inventory systems

• Handling customer service issues related to e-commerce transactions (returns, inquiries)

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the ITAD facility

• Processing end-of-life assets
• Assisting in the overall ITAD process to ensure compliance with company policies and environmental standards
• Understanding of general ITAD practices

Job Qualification Requirements

• Completed High School Diploma/GED
• Must be able to produce a high standard deliverable while under time constraint pressure
• Experience interacting with external customers, preferably in an e-commerce setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when handling customer service issues
• Good documentation skills for tracking inventory, sales, and customer communication
• Must be able to accurately follow written work instructions
• Must be able to work in a structured environment
• Must have strong organization, time management, and prioritizing skills
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as eBay, Amazon, or others
• Able to drive a box truck
• Must have the ability to keep consistent pace while doing monotonous task
• Ability to work independently without constant instruction 
• Basic knowledge of IT assets (laptops, desktops, peripherals) is preferred
• Able to change from one task to another quickly 
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Demands May Include:

• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time
• Time spent in low postures (crouching, stooping, kneeling, bending)
• Climbing (ramps, stairs, or ladders)
• Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
• Keyboarding for up to 8 hours per day
• Reaching Overhead
• Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
• Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
• Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)
