As a hospital-employed Psychology Faculty provider, you will join a collaborative Behavioral Health team dedicated to serving the mental health needs of our rapidly growing and diverse community. This opportunity offers an exceptional balance of clinical practice, academic involvement, and quality of life.
Position Highlights
- Standard Monday through Friday schedule with no call responsibilities.
- Balanced allocation of responsibilities, with approximately 80% dedicated to clinical practice and 20% dedicated to educational and academic activities.
- Provide psychological services to a diverse inpatient behavioral health population, with an approximate 50/50 mix of adult and adolescent patients.
- Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team committed to high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Opportunity to develop and expand psychotherapy components of the Psychiatry Residency Program while enhancing access to evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions within the Yuma community.
- Serve as Psychology Faculty with responsibility for curriculum development, didactic instruction, and active participation in the educational experience of psychiatry residents.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and graduate medical education trainees through resident mentorship, academic advising, and clinical supervision.
- Participate in an academically focused environment dedicated to education, collaboration, scholarly development, and the delivery of evidence-based patient care.
Requirements
- PHD Degree
- Completion of an APA-Accredited Internship
- Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure prior to starting the position
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Onvida health
