Field Service Power Generation Technician

**DESCRIPTION** **Job Summary:** Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Completing repair activities on generators or components + Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of service + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools **RESPONSIBILITIES** In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: + Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities. + High Voltage / Low Voltage experience. + Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products. **(Entry):** + Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators. + Basic Diesel Engine experience. + Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality. **QUALIFICATIONS** ***Basic Load-banking, Troubleshooting, and Preventative Maintenance Experience Required*** Monthly On Call Rotation Engine experience preferred This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use **DOT** - A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire - Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older - A current valid license is required for this role - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical - 3 years driving experience - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
