Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree, active Physical Therapy Assistant license, and 1+ years Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is available for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite role in Gadsden, AZ, involves supporting physical therapy services within a school setting, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The specific grade level and caseload will be determined but expect standard school-year hours totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- IVP Fingerprint Card in compliance with Arizona regulations
- Experience working as a PTA in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
Responsibilities include:
- Providing physical therapy services to eligible students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with schools special education teams to develop and implement appropriate therapy strategies
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy services and progress reports
- Participating in meetings and trainings as required
Location: Gadsden, AZ (onsite position only)
This contract position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with potential changes to dates. The caseload for this role will be established based on student needs.
