Patient Access Specialist Bilingual Preferred
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of general clerical, customer service or medical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Prefer prior experience in a call center or experience with high volume patient contact through the use of phones.
- Prior healthcare registration and or scheduling experience is a plus.
- Prefer a detailed knowledge and understanding of DES/AHCCCS programs and eligibility factors.
- Requires excellent data entry skills.
- Basic math skills required.
- Must be able to demonstrate interviewing and investigative techniques in order to obtain information that may not be offered.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
- Critical thinking skills are strongly preferred.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
