How you will enjoy your day: Perform daily accounting functions related to the accounting office and hotel operations. Assists in many areas to complete and improve the financial process. The role includes varied accounting functions such as income audit, daily cash, entry level reconciliations and other tasks related to accounting and accounting reporting. Position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Work Performed :

1. Maintain and balance automated systems for daily reporting
2. Input data in various financial or similar systems
3. Maintain proper documentation and organized files
4. Answer accounting and financial questions
5. Research and interpret data
6. Provide daily reporting
7. Utilize Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
8. Compute accurate mathematical calculations
9. Work closely with other departments to ensure proper recording of information
10. Handle cash
11. Troubleshoot common accounting problems
12. Provide accounting support to multiple team members
13. Create and maintain reports with speed and accuracy
14. Handle confidential and sensitive financial information
15. Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received : Accounting Manager & Assistant Director of Finance

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred or equivalent work experience. Previous hospitality experience is highly desired. Appropriate combination of education and work experience to support on-the-job effectiveness. Must have strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize deadlines as well as accuracy with an eye for detail. Strong Excel skills are critical. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and works well with others. Able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision.
