Position Overview

The Surgery Scheduler / Prior Authorization Representative plays a key role in ensuring seamless coordination of surgical procedures while providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Obtain and manage prior authorizations for surgical procedures
• Perform insurance verification and benefits review
• Schedule surgical procedures as directed by the physician
• Counsel patients regarding surgical procedures and expectation
• Schedule all pertinent appointments, including preoperative and postoperative visits
• Coordinate with patients, providers, staff, and outside facilities to ensure smooth care planning
• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
• Support daily scheduling operations and administrative activities

Qualifications

• Prior authorization experience required
• Insurance verification experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and detail-driven
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Professional and compassionate patient interaction skills

Bilingual a plus

Schedule/Compensation • This position is full-time • Monday through Friday * 40 hours per week •

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:
