Job Description
Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator, where you will primarily engage in TIG welding and occasionally MIG welding on a variety of ornamental metals, including stainless steel, guardrails, and railings. You will be responsible for setting up your own welding machine for each process and must be able to pass a 3g and 4g weld test. Additionally, you will read prints and fabrication drawings, utilize power tools such as grinders and saws, and engage in fabrication tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform stick, TIG, and MIG welding on ornamental metal, railing, stainless steel, and guardrails.
- Set up welding machines independently for different processes.
- Pass 3g and 4g weld tests.
- Read and interpret prints and fabrication drawings.
- Use power tools including grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws.
- Engage in fabrication tasks on various materials including plate, tube, and pipes.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in TIG welding.
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience with stainless steel and aluminum TIG welding.
- Knowledge of architectural and ornamental metalwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Willingness to engage in fabrication and prep work.

Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, focusing on custom railing designs and fabrications. Please note, the shop does not have air conditioning, and steel toes and long pants are required from day one. The work schedule is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential early starts at 4 AM and overtime on Saturdays. Employees must be willing to work in the field as required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
