Are you excited about this Heavy Equipment Operator job?As a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator at Tank's Recycling and Landfill, you will safely operate essential machinery, including front-end loaders, skid steers, and excavators. Your role will involve loading and unloading materials, managing stockpiles, and supporting daily landfill operations while strictly adhering to safety protocols and conducting daily inspections of equipment. You will assist with site maintenance, material placement, and ensuring efficient traffic flow throughout the site. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with scale house attendants, mechanics, and site managers to streamline operations. Additionally, be prepared to travel between landfill locations as needed, reinforcing your integral role in our high-performance workplace.
Does this sound like you?To succeed as a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator at Tank's Recycling and Landfill, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators, preferably in a landfill or construction environment. A strong ability to follow instructions and work independently is essential, as is maintaining a clean and safe work area. You must possess a commitment to safety and teamwork, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration with colleagues.
Punctuality and reliability are key traits, as you will be working outdoors in varying conditions year-round. A valid driver's license is required, and having heavy equipment certification from CAT, John Deere, or a trade school will enhance your qualifications, making you a valuable asset to our high-performance team.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 3+ years of experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators (landfill or construction experience preferred).
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in outdoor conditions year-round.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Heavy equipment certification is a plus (CAT or John Deere or trade school).
