As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician with specialized experience in CAT engines and Cummins engines to join our dynamic fleet maintenance team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Heavy Vehicle Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles, particularly those equipped with Caterpillar (CAT) engines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping our fleet operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, specializing in CAT engines.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer guidelines and company policies.

• Complete engine overhauls, rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and correct issues efficiently.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts usage.

• Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure timely completion of repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.

• Comply with all safety standards, regulations, and company protocols.

• Keep the shop area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School certification preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on heavy vehicles and equipment.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Caterpillar (CAT) diesel engines.

• ASE certifications and/or Caterpillar factory training highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.

• Must own a basic set of tools relevant to the position.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong work ethic with a focus on reliability and quality.
