Quality Inspector Lead
Description:
Perform aircraft quality control inspection and lead inspection operations to ensure airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to FAA regulations, technical data, and company maintenance standards. Oversee inspection activities, support workforce coordination, review maintenance documentation, and drive safety, quality, and training compliance across all assigned operations.

#Education & Job Requirements
*A&P License (valid and current)
*3+ years of work-related experience with commercial aircraft
*3 years of aircraft inspection experience in a high-volume MRO environment
*1 year of leadership experience providing technical guidance to inspectors and technicians
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent
*Operate computer systems, maintenance manuals, documentation systems, and FAA regulatory materials
*Apply Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) in inspection activities
*Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Able to work at either the Marana, AZ, or Tucson, AZ work locations

*Strong organizational and planning capability with a focus on deadlines and accuracy
*High attention to detail in inspection and documentation processes
*Experience working in high-volume MRO environments
*Familiarity with FAA compliance systems and quality control procedures
#Job Duties & Functions
*Review non-preplanned maintenance documents to determine repair or replacement requirements, including parts, materials, tooling, and labor estimates
*Ensure all removed components routed to Technical Services are properly documented with valid job numbers and defined work scope
*Execute proper tagging of repairable, serviceable, and condemned aircraft parts
*Inspect aircraft, flightline operations, and shop work to ensure continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance
*Verify purchased parts and materials meet company and manufacturer quality standards and allowable tolerances
*Record inspection results on required forms, reports, and tags while escalating discrepancies to the Chief Inspector
*Validate corrective actions on work cards with proper technical references
*Confirm Required Inspection Items (RIIs) are properly identified per customer procedures
*Maintain Work-In-Progress Conformity Records for assigned shifts
*Conduct receiving inspections of incoming parts and materials
*Evaluate assemblies, installations, and component tolerances using precision tools and measurement equipment
*Approve or reject units by signing inspection documentation and recording discrepancies
*Log all inspection activities performed on aircraft and components
*Provide orientation and on-the-job training while maintaining accurate training records
*Enforce company policies, safety regulations, PPE compliance, and proper equipment usage
*Coordinate workforce assignments, resolve work issues, and communicate operational progress
*Promote teamwork, communication, and operational efficiency within the assigned area
*Perform facility audits for safety and compliance adherence
*Support the duties of the QC Supervisor in their absence
*Perform temporary duty assignments away from base as required
*Promote and enforce SMS compliance, hazard reporting, and safety awareness initiatives
*Identify unsafe conditions and support corrective safety actions in accordance with company procedures
#Physical Requirements & Environment
*Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods during shift operations
*Perform frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching above shoulder level
*Occasionally climb, crawl, and balance in maintenance environments
*Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted as required
*Utilize eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and normal corrected vision and hearing
*Work in hangars, offices, and flightline environments with exposure to noise, heights, and moving equipment
*Comply with safety procedures and participate in required PPE usage, including goggles, gloves, face protection, and hearing protection
*May work across Marana, AZ, and Tucson, AZ, based on operational needs
