Cafe Attendant

Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale, AZ is looking for people to join our Copper Spike Café team.

We are located at 300 N Broadway.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hardworking.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a habitual smile and positive attitude
• Create a fun and entertaining environment with passengers
• Set-up and serve food and beverages
• Greet and direct passengers at the train station

Position Qualifications

• Basic food handling skills and kitchen knowledge
• Enthusiastic, energetic and motivated
• Ability to listen to directions
• Ability to think through problems and stressful situations
• Capability to stand for a prolonged period
• Responsibilities may include food prep, stocking, building and taking orders
• Responsibilities may include all stages of food preparation to include grilled and fried entrees
• and preparation of appetizers for on train consumption, where some prep work is visible by
• customers
• Position may be asked to receive deliveries from distributors and track inventory of and
• stocking items related to kitchen
• Contribute to maintaining clean stoves, grill, refrigerators, freezers, walk-in cooler and pantry
• Good customer service interaction required and experience with using a gas grill is a plus
• Keep and maintain a clean working environment
• Restaurant experience preferred

Position Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older

• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Able to work early hours, nights, double shifts, weekends and holidays

• Have reliable transportation to and from work

• Commit to promoting a safe working environment

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Able to walk considerable distance on uneven surfaces, bend and or twist at odd angles

and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. during a shift

• Work in outdoor elements such as heat, rain, snow, wind and dust

• Have a professional appearance as dictated by a Company dress code
