Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization that is expanding its operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: - Manage daily accounting tasks, including processing invoices through Automate and Restaurant 365 software. - Perform general ledger activities, ensuring accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and equity. - Reconcile accounts periodically, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly. - Handle accounts payable processes, including coding and reconciling vendor invoices. - Process and reconcile gift card and credit card transactions accurately. - Conduct asset reconciliation for various accounts and maintain fixed asset records. - Assist with period-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met. - Support corporate tax and sales tax filing processes as needed. - Prepare journal entries to support financial reporting requirements. - Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry. - Proficiency in Restaurant 365 and Automate software is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of general ledger activities and account reconciliation. - Experience with corporate tax and sales tax processes. - Ability to prepare journal entries and manage fixed assets. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment.
